Minutes, May 22, 2007.
Attendance:

Others: Hattie Dixon, Sally Brown, Joy Baisch, John Austin, Eric Swangstu, Kathy
Sharp, Bill Roney
Minutes from April 10, 2007 approved.
Committee Members
• Linda Tudor voted as interim TCC President.
• Full membership to be approved by BOCC in May.
• Additional persons giving letters to John Austin/BOCC: Dan Youra, Kathy Sharp
for Port Ludlow.
Web Committee
• Recommendation to invest in one web siteOlympic Peninsula.org.
• Each Jefferson County community represented with direct link to Chamber or
visitor site.
• Use $3,000 credit at Inside0ut.com to do work. Jeff Logan understands this and
is working with committee.
• Committee will be meeting again first week of June.
o ACTION: TCC emphasized that all. members and areas must
contribute web site content when requested.
Gateway VIC update
• Summer will be open 7 days, 9 am to 5 pm.
• New large maps and upgrades are currently happening inside VIC. Eventually to
have historic information and displays-and coffee.
• County is looking for 99 year lease, water, bathrooms and clearing land for view.
• VIC concerned about mailing costs.
o ACTION: Hattie to bring current mailing costs and history to next
TCC meeting.
• Guest registry-Gateway tracking where visitors are going.
o ACTION: Bill R. to bring results to next meeting.
o ACTION: Hattie to see if other VICs are tracking if are willing to do
so.
Budget
• Budget approved as presented.
Research
o ACTION: Hattie to bring past and current visitor research to next
meeting.
NEXT MEETING: July 10th, Tuesday, 10 am at Port Hadlock Inn
