New voting members approved by County: Dan Youra, Frances Rawski, Kathie Sharp, Joy Baisch, Anna Matsche ACTION: New officer's vote held until group becomes more acquainted. • Linda Tudor -interim president. 30 years in Brinnon, active in community and Chamber, TCC member for a long time. Real Estate • Joy Baisch, Elk Meadows B&B, Brinnon. Active in community. • Kathie Sharp. New to area; 20 years in tourism. Ready to get her feet wet-will observe for a couple meetings. Port Ludlow Resort • Dan Youra, Youra Publications. In area and tourism since 1982. Involved with development of Gateway VIC. • Debi Bainbridge, Inn at Port Hadlock. Career in hospitality, at Port Ludlow Resort for 7 years; very interested in tourism. • Bob Huelsdonk, Hoh Humm Ranch. Part of TCC since 1990 (he passed out a written history of the TCC). No chamber at West end-works with Forks Chamber and developed the VIC at Kalaloch with seasonal Park Ranger. • Diane Schostak. In West End tourism, Forks since mid-1980's. Now manages the Olympic Peninsula Joint Marketing and the NOPVCB • John Austin, Elected councilman Nov. 2006. Psychology in Minnesota for 20 years. Hiked from Dosewallips to Hoh Humm Ranchthrough the Olympics-he'd rather drive it. • Bill Roney. Wyoming retail tourism; to Port Townsend in 1994. Joined Jefferson County Historical Society in 2001. Gateway VIC as of 2006 • Hattie Dixon, Peninsula Ad Works. Tourism for 35 years, facilitating tourism groups for 10 years Research • Bill Roney passed out the tracking results from May/June from Gateway VIC. ACTION: Linda to check tracking methods in Quilcene. Bob to get tracking info from West End. Website Committee • Meeting with Inside0ut postponed by mutual consent until late July. • Dan Youra now on web committee Marketing Details • John Austin brought lodging tax collection info since 2003. These stats will become regular part of TCC meetings. ACTION: Hattie to assist in identifying information on lodging tax chart. • Current Budget presented, $12,596 uncommitted funds. Must be spent before end of year. Marketing Ideas for uncommitted funds • Print Ads • Signage owned by County at Gateway VIC • .Enhance Internet o Internet banners o E-mail newsletters o Buy words on Google o Better photos for website and flash o Cell phone "push" advertising. Advertisers pay per response from customer ACTION: Dan to create info-sheet for cell phone messaging technology • Map with lodging • Research at VICs ACTION: Bill and Linda to get research costs for Gateway and Quilcene. • Ferry Guide, Olympic Peninsula, 4 page insert $7,000 (40,000 print) • Pool funds with Clallam County ACTION: Diane to research options for next meeting including broadcast, a-mail lists and Internet ACTION: Marketing for falUwinter to be determined at next meeting. 2008 Budget Committee • 2008 Budget to County by September • Budget committee: Debi, Linda, Dan, Bob ACTION: • Meet prior to next meeting and within 2 weeks of receiving reports below. • Notify partners to turn in spending reports by July 24t''. • Notify partners to turn in their budget requests for approval by September • Reports to be reviewed by TCC through a-mail Joint Marketing • Retreat August 2, 2007 at Quality Inn in Sequim. 10 am to 4 pm. • Diane is available to tourism groups to present Joint Marketing activities this year.
