RE: Hicks Park Shoreline Exemption
3250_001.pdf
Hi Matt,
I have just about completed my review but I noticed that the shoreline permitting fee has not yet been paid. See
attached invoice. Tidemark will not let me issue a permit until all fees are paid. Once the invoice has been paid, I should
be able to issue the permit.

Donna,
The missing section of the rock revetment needs to be repaired in order to protect the boat ramp. Without it, the boat
ramp will be undercut again in short order. I will provide more drawings and details about this asap. I don't think it is
actually 38 linear feet, but I will get more info to you soon.
Thank you, Matt

Hi Matt:
Just want to check in with you. I reviewed the JARPA and it mentions (on page 6) that 38 linear feet of rock bulkhead
will be repaired. Allthe other information submitted indicates concrete will be poured within a 7-foot-wide by 15-foot-
long area of an existing boat ramp. lf no bulkhead repairs are proposed, please reply to this email stating that the
proposal is limited to the 7-foot x 16-foot area of concrete at the existing ramp.
lf a bulkhead repair is proposed, please send drawings and details about what is proposed.
I am hoping to make a site visit on Tuesday (3ltgl, so if at all possible, please let me know by Monday
Thanks,
Donna

RE: SITEADDRESS: 1090 SHINE RD
CASE #: MLA19-00004
DeaT JEFFERSON COUNTY:
Jefferson County Department of Community Development staff have reviewed the application
materials for the above proposed project and have determined that your application is not complete.
The following information is needed by May 6, 2019 to constitute a complete application:
The site plan does not show the ordinary high water mark (OHWM) or the extent of the proposed
project. Submit a revised site plan that also shows the proposal relative to OHWM and parcel
boundaries. Note that OHWM is generally a few feet landward of the mean higher high water line
and is defined in RCW 90.58.030(2)(c).
Show the OHWM on the plan view sheet (both above and side views)
The proposal will occur in an area that is tidally influenced. Submit a Joint Aquatic Resources
Permit (JARPA) form.
The application says that concrete will be pumped into the damaged area. Provide information
about how long it will take for the concrete to dry, when the concrete will be pumped in relative to
tide cycles, and what measures are proposed to prevent wet concrete from entering the marine
environment.
lf you have any questions, contact me at 360-3794466 or dfrostholm@co.jefferson.wa.us
Pursuant to JCC18.40.110(3)(b), if an applicant does not submit additional information, does not
request additional time to submit the required information within the ninety (90) calendar day period,
or does not appeal the decision, the application will be considered abandoned and therefore
withdrawn and the applicant shall forfeit the application fee. The Department of Community
Development shall not be responsible for notifying the applicant of an impending expiration.
Please advise the Department of Community Development in writing of your intentions.
Sincerely,
Donna Frostholm
