After the Purchase and Sale Agreement is signed, promptly notify your RCO grant manager of the properties that will involve any ground disturbance or demolition or modification of structures older than 50 years, as cultural resources consultation will be required. ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PRO'S and CON'S: This amendment is to add the McComb property (APN# 991200401) to the project scope. The RCO Funding Board Project Agreement funds the acquisition from willing sellers of residential parcels prone to flooding and their restoration to native vegetation as an ongoing effort to re-establish a channel migration corridor for the lower Big Quilcene River. The project supports outreach and collaboration with project partners, leading to the open spaces necessary in order to eventually reconnect the lower river with its floodplain and distributary channels in order to support the recovery of Hood Canal Summer Chum and other salmonids. FISCAL IMPACT/COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS: No change in funding. RECOMMENDATION: JCPH Management recommends BOCC signature of Amendment No. 1 to the RCO Big Quilcene Riparian Protection agreement #17-1052; January 19, 2018 — December 31, 2019; No funding change.
