Joint Oversight Board on Affordable Housing and Homeless Housing
Special Meeting — Wednesday, April 10, 2019, 9:00 a.m.
Jefferson County Courthouse — Commissioners' Chambers
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA
CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Sullivan called the Special Meeting to order in the
presence of Public Health Director Vicki Kirkpatrick, County Administrator Philip Morley and City of
Port Townsend Councilmember Michelle Sandoval.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The Committee opened up the meeting to allow for
Public Comment. No one wished to address the committee.
APPROVAL of MINUTES: Commissioner Sullivan moved to approve the Special
Meeting Minutes of February 20 and 26, 2019 as presented. Councilmember Sandoval seconded the
motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
COMMITTEE DISCUSSION: The Committee reviewed the following:
• Staff updates, Task Force member recruitment and report on Facilitation Services proposals
• Six applications for Task Force members have been received to -date
• Preparation for Facilitator interviews
The meeting was recessed at 9:58 a.m. and reconvened at 10:05 a.m. with all committee
members present.
INTERVIEWS: The Committee interviewed the following individuals for the Facilitator
Position: John Jamison and Lizanne Coker.
COMMITTEE DISCUSSION - Continued: The Committee reviewed the following:
• Evaluation of Proposals and alternatives; identify possible next steps
• Review the role of Facilitator. Committee members were tasked with asking follow-up questions
of Ms. Coker and the Community Foundation. The group will review task force applicants and
work on recruiting more candidates
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The committee heard and responded to one comment
made by a member of the audience in attendance.
FUTURE MEETINGS and AGENDA ITEMS: The next meeting is scheduled for
April 18, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the Jefferson County Commissioners' Chambers.
