RE: Amendment#1 to the Professional Services Contract for Aumock
Designworks.
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The purpose of this amendment is to allow Aumock Designworks to continue their work
assisting DCD managers to review building plan submittals for all projects that require fire
review. In addition Aumock Designworks accompanies DCD's building inspectors on all
inspections that require fire related inspections.
This supplement provides an increase in hourly rate, which has not been increased since 2006
and is currently not at the competitive market rate.
ANALYSIS:
This amendment increases the Professional Services hourly rate from $50/hr. to $80/hr. at no
additional cost to Jefferson County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to Jefferson County Community Development. Currently customers
are invoiced for the work required by Aumock Designworks when fire inspector or plans
examiner services are needed.
RECOMMENDATION:
Execute the contract amendment.

Description
Supplement No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement for the International Fire Code Inspector&Plans
Examiner is appended with: "Exhibit A Supplement to the Hourly Rate" increasing the hourly rate to$80 per
hour. This increase will become effective the date of the submitted proposal, February 3, 2019.
The Local Agency of Jefferson County desires to supplement the agreement entered into
with Aumock Designworks. and executed on October 11,2006 and identified as
Agreement No. Professional Services Contractfor Fire Code ficial and Plan Review Services
All provisions in the basic Professional Services Contract, dated October 11, 2006, remain in effect
except as expressly modified by this supplement.
The changes to the agreement are described as follows:

Section 2.The County shall pay the contractor for the stipulated services as follows:,is hereby
changed to read as follows:
a. Hourly rate of$80.00 per hour in accordance with this contract and the Scope of Work,and,
Signatures indicate agreement to the changes as stated in this Supplement#1 to the Professional Services
Contract for Professional Services for International Fire Code Inspector and Plans Examiner.
