SUBJECT: Request to reappoint JD Gallant to serve an additional 4-year term
on the Conservation Futures Citizen Oversight Committee.
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Public Health requests that the County Commissioners reappoint JD Gallant to the Conservation Futures
Citizen Oversight(CF)Committee to serve an additional 4-year term.
ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PRO'S and CON'S:
A District 3 vacancy on the CF Committee was advertised in the The Leader on June 12th,2019.Mr.
Gallant responded to the ad prior to the June 28th deadline.No other applications for the seat were
received during the application period.Mr. Gallant has been a very dedicated member of the Committee,
and Public Health is grateful for his service to the program.
FISCAL IMPACT/COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
There is no fiscal impact to the county's General Fund for reappointing Mr. Gallant to an additional term
on the CF Committee.
RECOMMENDATION:
Public Health requests that the County Commissioners reappoint JD Gallant to the Conservation Futures
Citizen Oversight(CF)Committee to serve an additional 4-year term.

term on the Conservation Futures Citizen Oversight Committee.
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Public Health requests that the County Commissioners reappoint Richard Jahnke to the Conservation
Futures Citizen Oversight(CF)Committee to serve an additional 4-year term.
ANALYSIS/STRATEGIC GOALS/PRO'S and CON'S:
This"Open Interest"vacancy on the CF Committee was advertised in the The Leader on June 12t,2019.
Mr.Jahnke responded to the ad prior to the June 28th deadline to continue to represent Coastal Areas.No
other applications for the seat were received during the application period. Mr.Jahnke has served very
admirably on the Committee, including as Vice Chair and Chair,and Public Health is grateful that he
would like to continue his participation in the county's open space program.
