FEMA HABITAT ASSESSMENT LETTER

C3 Habitat Corporation (C3) has assessed the proposed bulkhead replacement for property that
is located within a 100-yearflood zone {AE). The property is currently undeveloped but does have
all aid porlial foundation on the subject property. The property is located at 620 Beckett Point
Road in Port Townsend Washington; lots 36 & 37. The proposed activity is to replace the existing
failing concrete bulkhead with a more habitat friendly rockery bulkhead. This letter also will include
an analyses for a potential future single family residence. C3 assessed the property via site
reconnaissance as well as paper and web -based review.
FINDINGS
The property is situated along the shores of Puget Sound (Beckett Point) near the mouth of
Discovery Bay in Port Townsend Washington. There are inland wetlands located near the property
but are severed by Beckett Point Road. The surrounding properties are all developed with single
family residences except the adjacent property to the north is undeveloped. The subject
property's (lots 36 & 37) current habitat con.ditlon is essentially comprised of gross, weeds and
gravel. There are no trees or shrubs. There is no quality habitat on the landward portion of these
lots.

Photo showing the beach conditions where bulkhead work will take place. The beach is
comprised of beach cobble and sand. No eel grass or shell fish breeding ground is near the
bulkhead.
