Dear Jared and Meghan:
The Department of Community Development is in the process of reviewing your application. The following
information is needed to continue review of your project.
Jefferson County staff: Donna Frostholm, Wetland Biologist and Shannen Cartmel, Project Planner performed a
comprehensive review and site visit on March 19, 2019 to review the findings of the Non -Wetland Determination
Report prepared by Ecological Land Services and submitted to Jefferson County February 12, 2019. Staff
confirmed the presence of wetlands on your property and on adjacent parcels near your property boundaries.
During the site visit, staff found all three indicators of a wetland on your property. Wetlands on the beyond the
property boundaries were visually identified. The buffers of these wetlands will likely be present on your property.
Categories of the wetlands, associated buffers, and any associated mitigation/preservation of the wetland needs
to be identified and determined by Ecological Land Services or another wetla nd biologist of your choice. Please
address the wetlands located directly offsite on the eastern and southern property boundaries in an updated
report.
Please submit the above information to the Department of Community Development within 90 days of the date
of this letter which would be 6/19/2019. Please call 360-379-4454 to speak with the assigned planner if you have
any questions.
