HomeMy WebLinkAboutGeotech Waiver 948400011TO: Patty Charnas, Director / UDC Administrator FROM: Shannen Cartmel, Assistant Planner DATE: 10/07/2019 RE: 302 View Ridge Drive, Sequim Geotech Waiver Request — Approval Recommendation Ms. Backer applied for a geotech waiver during the course of a septic permit application. Ms. Backer plans to construct a single-family home and an ADU. Ms. Backer's property is mapped as a slight landslide hazard area. I have reviewed Ms. Backer's waiver request, available map and data, and completed the attached geohazard checklist. Ms. Backer will implement applicable best management practices during construction. Ms. Backer's stormwater permit does not trigger a geotech, as her site is less than 15% grade. The slope is graded across the entire property and is approximately 13%. Based on our available data, Ms. Backer's site, proposed development, and analysis from the geohazard checklist I find that the standards for a geotechnical report waiver, under Jefferson County Code 18.22.370, have been satisfied.
