HomeMy WebLinkAboutGeotech Waiver 821334086TO: Patty Charnas, Director / UDC Administrator FROM: Shannen Cartmel, Assistant Planner DATE: 10/22/2019 RE: 277 Scenic View LN, Port Ludlow Geotech Waiver Request — Approval Recommendation Mr. and Mrs. McAlister applied for a geotech waiver during the course of a septic permit application. Mr. and Mrs. McAlister plans to construct a single-family home. An existing 1056 sq. ft. home and septic system are present on the property with no indications of slope failure. Mr. and Mrs. McAlister property is mapped as a slight landslide hazard area and an unstable shoreline slope. I have reviewed Mr. and Mrs. McAlister waiver request, available map and data, and completed the attached geohazard checklist. Mr. and Mrs. McAlister will implement applicable best management practices during construction. The slope is graded across the entire property and is approximately 12%. The slope in the area of the septic installation is approximately 11%. Based on our available data, Mr. and Mrs. McAlister site, proposed development, and analysis from the geohazard checklist I find that the standards for a geotechnical report waiver, under Jefferson County Code 18.22.370, have been satisfied. `%Approved Denied Patty Cl; rmas, Director / UDC Administrator Attachments: Supplemental application waiver from special reports — geotech Geohazard Checklist Site Plan RELEASE AND WAIVER Applicant: MARY AND GARY MCALISTER 277 SCENIC VIEW LN PORT LUDLOW, WA 98365 Property: Assessor's property tax parcel no.: 821334086 Legal description: S33 T28 RIE TAX 78 Address: 277 SCENIC VIEW LN, PORT LUDLOW, WA 98365 Please read this form carefully and be aware that, in applying for and receiving a permit for development, you are knowingly and willfully seeking a waiver from the requirement of a professional geotechnical report describing your Property, proposed development, and potential risk of earth movement.
