To: Jefferson County Planning Commission
My wife and I have lived on our Tarboo Creek property since 2001. With help from Peter Bahls of Northwest Watershed
Ins tute, we donated 5.5 acres of our land on both sides of Tarboo Creek to the Jefferson County Land Trust. We con nue
to pay full taxes on the donated land.
A huge, lawless, paramilitary training center on the shores of Tarboo Lake would surely pollute the lake and the creek. We
now have beavers and spawning salmon in the creek. The noise pollu on alone would destroy our quiet re rement and way
of life here 1.5 miles from Tarboo Lake. We would be forced to find another place to live; we are both in our 70s.
Please follow the outlines of the Kitsap County plan for gun ranges as recommended by the Tarboo Ridge Coali on.
Sincerely,
Michael A. Halverson
