Re: Proposed Gun Range

Dear Commissioners,
I have concerns about the proposed gun range near Quilcene. My concern is: "does it
serve the public interest"?
First of all, how many Jefferson County residents would actually be using it?
Secondly, what impact will it have on nearby residents regarding noise, water, and air
pollution?
And third, Will an Environmental Impact Statement be completed to study the effects
such a business would have on the pristine environment where the range is
proposed?
Common sense suggests to me, that no, it doesn't serve the public interest, and such a
business, if it meets the above criteria, should be located close to an urban area and
be enclosed within a sound proof building to minimize the impact on the public.
