In order for 2020 lodging tax funding agreements to be processed in a timely manner, the Commissioners are asked to review the LTAC recommendations and take action to affirm the 2020 funding amounts, including seventeen(17)proposals totaling $652,000, plus $24,000 for capital contingency for the Gateway Visitor's Center, carry-forward the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Port Ludlow sign allocation and administrative costs,as detailed in the attached spreadsheet. FISCAL IMPACT: See attached spreadsheet. RECOMMENDATION: Review the LTAC recommendations and take action to affirm the 2020 Hotel Motel fund expenditures as recommended. The Committee recommends $12,000 to be allocated in 2020. Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce (JCCC): The organization requested $31,350 in 2020 lodging tax funds. After discussion, the Committee concurred to reduce the funding to $20,000 by removing the expense of printing the Jefferson County Chamber Map in the amount of$11,500. The Committee recommends $20,000 be allocated in 2020. Jefferson County Parks and Recreation: The organization requested: $26,625 to upgrade the electrical hook up system at the Oak Bay Campground. The Committee recommends $13,269 be allocated in 2020. Jefferson County Parks and Recreation District#2 (Brinnon): The organization requested $29,928 in 2020 lodging tax funds. After discussion,the Committee concurred to reduce the funding to $15,000 by removing the expense of purchasing the 2019 Covered Wagon Concession Kitchen in the amount of$15,000. Instead of the original request for $29,928. The Committee recommends $15,000 be allocated in 2020. Jefferson County Historical Society—Olympic Peninsula Gateway Visitor Center: The organization requested $76,000 in 2020 lodging tax funds. After discussion, the Committee concurred to reduce the funding to $72,500 by removing the expense of grading the parking lot in the amount of$3,500. This expense will be paid from the Capital Contingency fund. The Committee recommends $72,500 be allocated in 2020. Quilcene Historical Museum: The organization requested $49,430 in 2020 lodging tax funds. The Committee recommends $44,430 be allocated in 2020. Quilcene Fair & Parade: The organization requested $17,000 in 2020 lodging tax funds. The Committee recommends $10,000 be allocated in 2020. Tourism Coordinating Council: The organization requested $205,000 in 2020 lodging tax funds The Committee recommends $200,000 be allocated in 2020. TPA Jefferson County Farm Tour: The organization requested $20,000 in 2020 lodging tax funds. The Committee recommends $15,000 be allocated in 2020. TPA Olympic Peninsula Apple & Cider Festival: The organization requested $15,000 in 2020 lodging tax funds. The Committee recommends $7,500 be allocated in 2020.
