HomeMy WebLinkAboutM092519SON CSG c►tYofPort* Townsend IS11 INO" MINUTES Joint Oversight Board on Affordable Housing and Homeless Housing Special Meeting — Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 4:15 p.m. Cotton Building 607 Water Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368 CALL TO ORDER: Jefferson County Commissioner David Sullivan called the Special Meeting to order in the presence of City of Port Townsend Councilmember Michelle Sandoval, Member Amanda Funaro, Member Terry Smith and Member Frank Hoffman. Also present was Public Health Director Vicki Kirkpatrick. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The Committee listened to one comment from an individual in the audience. APPROVAL of MINUTES: Councilmember Sandoval moved to approve the Special Meeting Minutes of August 28, 2019 as presented. Member Smith seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. COMMITTEE DISCUSSION: The Committee reviewed the following: • HOMELESS HOUSING TASK FORCE MEMBERSHIP re: Addition of member(s): The Committee discussed Task Force membership, but did not take any action. • JEFFERSON COUNTY FIVE-YEAR HOMELESS PLAN: making Homelessness a Singular Occurrence: The Committee reviewed the plan and discussed upcoming steps to be taken. After discussion, Member Hoffman moved to approve the Five Year Homeless Plan. Member Funaro seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. UPDATE on HB 1406: The Committee discussed HB 1406. • NEXT STEPS: The group continued to discuss the process of the Five Year Homeless Plan, and other issues that need to be addressed in the upcoming months. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The Committee listened to one comment from an individual in the audience. FUTURE MEETINGS and AGENDA ITEMS: The next meeting of the Joint Oversight Board will be a Regular Meeting on October 23, 2019 at 4:15 p.m. at the Cotton Building.
