HomeMy WebLinkAboutGeotech Waiver 921194047TO: Patty Chamas, Director / UDC Administrator FROM: Shannen Cartmel, Assistant Planner DATE: 12/09/2019 RE: - s - Sentinel Firs Road, Port Hadlock Geotech Waiver Request — Approval Recommendation. orceL =0,- 9 2.1lag04+ Ms. Rogers applied for a geotech waiver during the course of a septic permit application. Ms. Rogers plans to construct a single-family home. Ms. Rogers' property is mapped as a slight landslide hazard area and seismic hazard. I have reviewed Ms. Rogers' waiver request, available map and data, and completed the attached geohazard checklist. Ms. Rogers will implement applicable best management practices during construction. Ms. Rogers' septic permit does not trigger a geotech, as her site is between 18%-20%. The soils are well draining and the disturbed area for the septic system will be immediately reseeded and native vegetation will be preserved in all other areas. Based on our available data, Ms. Rogers' site, proposed development, and analysis from the geohazard checklist I find that the standards for a geotechnical report waiver, under Jefferson County Code 18.22.370, have been satisfied.
