BOR 1220 Port Townsend, WA 98368 Dave Garing Daryl Gillette Margaret Taylor SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES December 11, 2019 Chairman Vice -Chairman Member Chairman Dave Garing called the meeting to order at 10:06 a.m. in the presence of Vice -Chairman Daryl Gillette and Alternate Member Mike Smith. Member Margaret Taylor was absent. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Alternate Member Smith moved to approve the minutes for 2018 BOE Season: March 26 and 28, 2019. Chairman Garing seconded the motion. The motion carried. Vice -Chairman Gillette moved to approve the minutes for 2018 BOE Season: May 29, 2019; June 5, 12 and 26, 2019; and July 17, 2019. Chairman Garing seconded the motion. The motion carried. ASSESSMENT CORRECTIONS AND PETITION WITHDRAWAL The Board reviewed the following assessment corrections and petition withdrawals: (No action is required.) BOE 19-04-R 502 104 034 BOE 19 -15 -LO 001 305 005 BOE 19-10-R 702 244 008 REQUEST TO RECONVENE REVIEW REQUEST TO RECONVENE THE 2019 BOARD OF EQUALIZATION: Marc Elpel — Parcel No. 990 600 141 (Reconvening Code 01 - outlined in WAC 458-14-127 RECONVENED BOARDS -AUTHORITY (1) which states that Boards of Equalization may reconvene on their own authority to hear requests concerning the current assessment year when the taxpayer submits a sworn affidavit to the board stating the notice of change of value for the assessment year was not received at least 15 days prior to the deadline for filing the petition and can show proof that the value was actually changed. The request must be filed by April 30 of the year following the assessment year.
