HomeMy WebLinkAboutGeotech Waiver 702134025TO: Linda Paralez / UDC Administrator FROM: Shannen Cartmel, Associate Planner DATE: 02/18/2020 RE: 352 Elkhound Pass RD, Quilcene Geotech Waiver Request — Approval Recommendation Mr. and Mrs. Draper applied for a geotech waiver during the course of a septic permit application. Mr. and Mrs. Draper plan to construct a single-family home. Mr. and Mrs. Draper's property is mapped as a slight landslide hazard area. I have reviewed Mr. and Mrs. Draper's waiver request, available map and data, and completed the attached geohazard checklist. Mr. and Mrs. Draper will implement applicable best management practices during construction. Mr. and Mrs. Draper's stormwater permit does not trigger a geotech, as their site is approximately a 19% grade. Based on our available data, Mr. and Mrs. Draper's site, proposed development, and analysis from the geohazard checklist I find that the standards for a geotechnical report waiver, under Jefferson County Code 18.22.370, have been satisfied.
