MINUTES
Joint Oversight Board on Affordable Housing and Homeless Housing
Regular Meeting — Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.
Commissioners' Chambers, Jefferson County Courthouse
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368
CALL TO ORDER: Jefferson County Commissioner David Sullivan called the Special
Meeting to order in the presence of City Councilmember Michelle Sandoval, Member Amanda Funaro,
Member Terry Smith and Member Frank Hoffman. Also present was Public Health Director Vicki
Kirkpatrick and Affordable Housing Task Force Committee Facilitator Lizanne Coker.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: There were no public comments received.
REVIEW of MINUTES: Member Funaro moved to approve the Special Meeting
Minutes of January 2, 2020 as presented. Member Hoffman seconded the motion. The motion carried.
COMMITTEE DISCUSSION: The Committee reviewed the following:
• Administration of Housing Program: Public Health Director Vicki Kirkpatrick and the
committee discussed the administration of the housing program and funding. A potential
change in meeting dates and times was discussed, but no action taken.
• Discussion re: Coordinated Entry System: Topic not discussed.
• SHB 1406 Update: Member Sullivan reported that Jefferson County and the City of Port
Townsend passed the Interlocal Agreement regarding SHB 1406 funds.
Homeless Housing Five -Year Plan: Topic not discussed.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: There were no public comments received.
FUTURE MEETING AGENDA ITEMS: Jefferson County staff will be in contact with
committee members should the need for scheduling a Special Meeting arise. The next Regular Meeting
of the Joint Oversight Board will be held on February 26, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. in the Jefferson County
Commissioners' Chambers.
