HomeMy WebLinkAboutGeotech Waiver 821355028TO: Linda Paralez, UDC Administrator FROM: Shannen Cartmel, Associate Planner DATE: 03/05/2020 RE: 794 Bywater Way, Port Ludlow Geotech Waiver Request — Approval Recommendation Mr. and Mrs. Smaaladen applied for a geotech waiver during the course of a building permit application. Mr. and Mrs. Smaaladen plan to construct a single-family home. Mr. and Mrs. Smaaladen's property is mapped as a slight landslide hazard area, an intermediate shoreline slope area, and a seismic hazard area. I have reviewed Mr. and Mrs. Smaaladen's waiver request, available map and data, and completed the attached geohazard checklist. Mr. and Mrs. Smaaladen will implement applicable best management practices during construction and have provided an engineered stormwater plan. Mr. and Mrs. Smaaladen's stormwater permit does not trigger a geotech, as their site has an approximate 11.5% grade. Based on our available data, Mr. and Mrs. Smaaladen's site, proposed development, and analysis from the geohazard checklist I find that the standards for a geotechnical report waiver, under Jefferson County Code 18.22.370, have been satisfied. ,Approved Denied Attachments: Supplemental application waiver from special reports — geotech Maps Geohazard Checklist Site Plan DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT 621 Sheridan Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368 Tel: 360.379.4450 1 Fax: 360.379.4451 Web: www.co.Iefferson.wa.us co m m u n ityclevelon men t Q' E-mail:dccl co.Iefferson.wa.us IN '. code $ ❑■ . the digital file SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION WAIVER FROM SPECIAL REPORTS — GEOTECHNICAL_RE'?'. _ T FbR GEOLOGICALLY HAZARDOUS AREAS e k.
