Jefferson County Board of Commissioners
Special Meeting — Tuesday, March 10, 2020, 1:00 p.m.
Jefferson County Courthouse—Commissioners' Chambers
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA
CALL TO ORDER: Chair Greg Brotherton called the meeting to order in the presence
of Commissioner David Sullivan and Commissioner Kate Dean. The following County staff were also
present: Department of Community Development (DCD) Director Patty Charnas and Chief Civil Deputy
Prosecuting Attorney(DPA) Philip Hunsucker via teleconference.
CONTINUTED DELIBERATIONS AND POTENTIAL ACTION re: Critical Areas
Ordinance (CAO): The Commissioners continued their review of the draft CAO ordinance.
After review and final edits, Commissioner Dean moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 05-0310-20 re:
Repealing and replacing chapter 18.22 of the Jefferson County Code, known as the Critical Areas
Ordinance, and Amending Chapter 18.10, Chapter 18.20 and Section 18.30.180 as amended.
Commissioner Sullivan seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Dean moved to adjourn the meeting at
1:45 p.m. until the next regular meeting or special meeting as properly noticed. Commissioner Sullivan
seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
