Subject: Public Works Organization Chart Update
Statement of Issue:
The Board is asked to approve an update to the organization chart for the Public
Works Department.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's a Con's:
Changes to the organization chart will better reflect the evolving organizational and
supervisory structure of the Public Works Department. Changes include:
1) The Human Resources/Grants Analyst position will report directly to the Public
Works Director rather than through the Engineering Services Manager/Assistant
Public Works Director.
2) Two (2) lead positions in the Port Hadlock roads maintenance division will be
replaced with one (1) Foreman position.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis:
These changes do not result in any change in full time equivalents (FTEs). Change #1
has no fiscal impact. Change #2 results in a cost increase of approximately $1,725.
Recommendation:
Approve the organization chart by signing it where indicated.
