Mercer, Member Joseph Fischnaller, M.D. Gael Stuart, Administrate MINUTES • • August 6, 1980 a 9:30 a.m. Meeting called to order by Chairman A. M. O'Meara with all members present. MINUTES: The minutes of July 8, 1980 were approved I seconded by Commissioner Brown. Unanimousby motion of Commissioner Mercer 1 CORRESPONDENCE: None ) OLD BUSINESS: 1. Budget. Stuart reported that $136,892.00 has been expended. The Health Department has received $117,409.00 and has a cash balance of $19,040.00. If receipts hold at their present level Stuart feels that the projected budget should be met. However, he is concerned should the payment of second half taxes and accounts receivable from Aetna Insurance Company fail to come in, a cash flow problem would exist. 'The Board advised that should this situation come up, a budget extension would be in order. NEW BUSINESS: I 1. Discussion about the need of more space for the nursing services. Stuart . advised that it would not be wise to have C.A.C. or the Housing Rehabilita- tion & Weatherization relocate to the office space at 1030 Lawrence because they both are tied into remaining departments. The use of office space in the basement of the multi-service center for the Housing Rehabilitation & Weatherization program was brought up and the Board will investigate the ; possibility. 2. 1981 Budget. Discussion on preparation of the new budget. REPORTS: 1. Public Health Nurse; Phyllis Bee a) No monthly activity report. b) Report and discussion on the progress of the Well Child Clinic, Mrs. Bee advised that there is a good posibility for more funding. e) Report on the Region 6 Study Meeting. i) Each local health department should be alloted a base amount of money plus on a per capita bases. ii) A list of basic services should be required to be preformed by each county. d) The W.I.C. program will need to increase its number from 175 to 200. 44,4 Health Board Meeting August 6, 1980 Page 2 REPORTS: con't 2.
