3:43 Denise Report: ~Meeting with Isaac Wulff, DBHR Systems Manager, regarding funding the Character Strong in JSHS—he didn’t say no, which left us hopeful. Added the amount to our budget and am waiting on Isaac’s response. Discussed supporting Jumping Mouse Play Therapist in the primary and elementary schools. Added an amount to the budget reflecting this
support. ~Recruitment: Mark will send Denise some names of parents who might want to participate. He will use membership (or attending one or more meetings) to alternatives to suspension. Considered asking the youth representatives on the Board to join? Denise will recruit at the JJ Connect programs she and Lindsay are hosting.
~Messaging: Denise wondered in light of some pushback from JCPH and the public, given the way COVID rules have severely impacted the restaurant and beverage business if we needed to be careful with messaging. Greg and Kristina said they’d be happy to talk to anyone who challenged our mission and messaging. We discussed making sure
we are explicit regarding our efforts to reduce youth misuse. ~Our next meeting will be Wednesday, September 16th via Zoom. Chris Hoffman-Hill offered her Zoom account to avoid getting cut off at the end
