Special Meeting Minutes
May 19, 2020 —10:00 a.m.
Jefferson County Commissioners Chambers
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA
Members: Diana Smeland, Shelly Leavens, Larry McKeehan, Joe Alfano and Greg Brotherton
Staff: County Administrator Philip Morley and Executive Assistant Leslie Locke
Chair Greg Brotherton called the meeting to order at 10:05 a.m. Members Shelly Leavens, Joe
Alfano and Larry McKeehan participated in the meeting remotely. Member Diana Smeland was
absent.
Discussion and Possible Action: Reduction of Awards and Specific Earmarking of Funds in the
Next Funding Cycle: After a brief discussion, Member Leavens moved to utilize the
recommendations and action of the awardees for their voluntary reductions in their awards and
recommend to the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners that those funds be earmarked for
funding in 2021 for those same organizations that elected to reduce this year. Member McKeehan
seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 a.m.
