Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: The objective of the project is to resurface and restore Center Road between the Little Quilcene River and US 101. The work has been completed and Change Order #1 is necessary to increase the total contract amount to reflect actual final quantities for each bid item in the contract and to add the cost of additional work items added in response to unanticipated conditions encountered during construction. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This change order will increase the total contract amount by $25,625.14 from $498,513.95 to $524,139.09. Construction of the road improvements portion of the project is funded 90% by Rural Arterial Program (RAP) grant funds administered by the County Roads Administration Board. Sidewalk improvements funded by $65,000 of Public Infrastructure Fund (PIF) funds are also part of the project. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board execute all three (3) originals of Change Order No. 1 with Hanson Excavation, LLC and return two signed (2) originals to Public Works for further processing.
