Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: During February 2020, emergency bank stabilization was constructed at Upper Hoh Road MP 7.9-8.0 following high flow events in the Hoh River that caused a road washout. Additional repairs, including re -paving, re -striping, and guardrail installation were completed in September -October, 2020 under contract with Rognlins, Inc. Change Order No. 1 is necessary in order to increase the total contract amount to reflect actual final bid item quantities used on the project. The increase in project quantities primarily consisted of an increase of 48 tons of asphalt over the original quantity, and an increase of 17 flagging hours over the original quantity. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This change order will increase the original contract amount by $11,650.25, from $109,898.25 to 121,548.50. This project is funded at 100% by the Federal Highway Administration. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board execute all three (3) originals of Change Order No. 1 with Rognlins, Inc. and return two (2) originals to Public Works for further processing. The increase in project quantities primarily consisted of an increase of 48 tons of HAAA CL 112 IN. PG 581-1-22 over the original quantity, and in increase of 17 flagging hours over the original quantity. The total increase in the contract amount for this change order is $11,650.25.
