STATE OF WASHINGTON COUNTY OF JEFFERSON BOARD OF HEALTH In the matter of amending Fee Schedules for ) Ordinance #07-1015-20 Jefferson County Environmental Public Health ) Repeals and Replaces 01-0220-20 L PURPOSE To amend the Fee Schedule for Jefferson County Environmental Public Health to reflect adjustment to services affected by changes to the Food Establishment Fees. 2. ADOPTION OF JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH FEE POLICY The Board of Health hereby adopts and incorporates by reference the Fee Policy attached in Appendix A. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance and the attachment shall be in full force and effective on October 15, 2020. 4. FEES: The fee schedule for Jefferson County Environmental Public Health is hereby set by the Jefferson County Board of Health as listed on the fee schedule attached in Appendix A. Any text specifically listed is deemed regulatory rather than advisory and as such has the full force and effect of local law. 5. SEVERABILITY A determination that any text, fee, or fee adopted as part of this Ordinance is unlawful or illegal shall not cause any other text, fee, or fees adopted as part of this Ordinance, that is unaffected by the determination, to be repealed, revised, or reduced. 6. PRIOR FEE SCHEDULE REPEALED Any fee schedule previously adopted by this Board is hereby repealed and replaced by this Ordinance. 7. SEPA COMPLIANCE: Linda Paralez, Director Department of Community Development Director and SEPA Official, determined that this proposal and the associated Board of Health Fee Schedule is categorically exempt per WAC 197-11-800(19) (a). The CPIW is the Consumer Price Index - US City Average for All Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for the United States Department of Labor. The annual fee adjustment shall be calculated as follows: each fee in effect immediately prior to the Adjustment Dale will be increased by the percentage increase in the CPIW as reported for the month of September preceding the Adjustment Date. Increases will be rounded to the nearest dollar. A fee shall not be reduced by reason of such calculation. However, fee increases in accordance with this calculation shall not exceed 5 percent per year. 2of2
