Kitsap County and Jefferson County —
Detention Facilities
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Kitsap Youth Center used for detaining our offender youth. Second contract amendment to
extend Contract # KC-075-19 to December 31, 2021.
ANALYSIS:
FISCAL IMPACT:
Included in 2018 budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Board approve the agreement and sign originals. A fully executed original will be
returned to the BOCC office upon final execution by AOC.

SECOND CONTRACT AMENDMENT
This Second Contract Amendment is entered into by Kitsap County, a municipal
corporation, having its principal offices at 614 Division Street, Port Orchard, Washington 98366,
hereinafter "County", and Jefferson County having its principal offices at 1820 Jefferson Street,
Port Townsend, WA, 98368, "Contractor."
In consideration of the mutual benefits and covenants contained herein, the parties agree
that their Contract, numbered as Kitsap County Contract No. KC-075-19, and executed on
February 25, 2019, and amended on January 13, 2020, shall be amended as follows:
1. Term: The contract term shall extend to terminate on December 31, 2021.
If this Contract Amendment extends the expiration date of the Contract, then the Contractor shall
provide an updated certificate of insurance evidencing that any required insurance coverages are
in effect through the new contract expiration date. The Contractor shall submit the certificate of
insurance to: Kitsap County Risk Management Division, 614 Division Street, MS-7, Port Orchard,
WA 98366.
Except as expressly provided in this Contract Amendment, all other terms and conditions of the
original Contract, and any subsequent amendments, addenda or modifications thereto, remain in
full force and effect.
This amendment shall be effective upon execution by the parties.
