Chairman Dave Garing called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the presence of Vice -Chairman
Daryl Gillette and Member Margaret Taylor
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Vice -Chairman Gillette moved to approve the special meeting minutes of June 9, 2020. Member Margaret
Taylor seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
DETERMINATIONS
Per WAC 458-14-095(4) post hearing deliberations of the Board of Equalization are not recorded. The
Board began post hearing deliberations at 9:33 a.m. At the conclusion of the deliberations the Board
resumed the regular meeting at 12:20 p.m. and the following actions were taken.

The Board of Equalization held a hearing on June 2, 2020.
After reviewing all the information submitted, the Board concurred that the appellants did not present
clear, cogent, and convincing evidence necessary to overcome the presumptive correctness of the
Assessor.
Vice -Chairman Gillette moved to sustain the Assessor's valuation of $492,954 ($480,480 for the land
and $12,474 for the improvements). Member Taylor seconded the motion which carried by a

The Board of Equalization held a hearing on June 2, 2020.
After reviewing all the information submitted, the Board concurred that the appellant did not present
clear, cogent, and convincing evidence necessary to overcome the presumptive correctness of the
Assessor.
Vice -Chairman Gillette moved to sustain the Assessor's valuation of $329,474 ($168,708 for the land
and $160,766 for the improvements). Member Taylor seconded the motion which carried by a

The Board of Equalization held a hearing on June 9, 2020.
After consideration of all testimony, evidence and the Assessor's Representative's recommendation,
Vice -Chairman Gillette moved to overrule the Assessor's original determination of $423,411
($276,650 for the land and $146,761 for the improvements) and reduce the value to $355,907
($241,125 for the land and $114,782 for the improvements). Vice -Chairman Gillette seconded the
motion which carried by a unanimous vote. (See also minutes of June 9, 2020)
Due to time constraints, the Board was unable to complete all of the determinations. The following
cases will be continued to a future meeting:
