BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
REGULAR AGENDA REQUEST
TO: Board of Commissioners
Philip Morley, County Administrator
FROM: Mark McCauley, Central ces Director
DATE: December 14, 2020
RE: Request for Board of County Commissioner approval of a proposed
extension of the 2019 Public Infrastructure Fund (PIF) Grant Agreement
with the City of Port Townsend for their Regional Stormwater Project
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The Board of County Commissioners approved a $300,000 grant agreement with the City of Port
Townsend on March 2, 2020 for a regional stormwater facility serving the Rainier Street Corridor. The
project has been delayed because of a project scope increase to serve the expansion of a housing
development. The project is still viable and is expected to be completed in 2021 rather than in 2020. In
order to be eligible for the balance of the unexpended grant funds the grant agreement needs to be
extended.
ANALYSIS:
The Public Infrastructure Board met on Friday, December 4, 2020 to consider the City's request for an
extension. The Board unanimously approved the request. A grant amendment is attached which extends
the grant agreement until December 31, 2021.

The dollar amount of the grant remains at $300,000 so this action has no additional fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Board of County Commissioners approved the attached amendment to the PIF grant agreement
for the City of Port Townsend's Regional Stormwater Facility.
