SUBJECT: ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTMENT (2) re: Solid Waste Advisory
Committee (SWAC); City of Port Townsend Representative, Steve
King (Public Works Director) and Alternate, Bliss Morris
(Wastewater Treatment/Compost Facility Operations Manager)
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTMENT
The City of Port Townsend has requested that the previous SWAC representative,
Brian Reid, and alternate Jim Madden, be replaced with new representative, Steve
King, and a new alternate, Bliss Morris.
ANALYSIS:
A copy of the request is attached. A local SWAC is mandated by RCW 70.95.165(3).
Costs associated with SWAC activity is identified in the 2021 Solid Waste Budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the appointments and update the membership list.
