DRAFT MINUTES
The January 20th, 2020 meeting of the Empowered Teens Coalition was held at the Zoom meeting 3:30 – 4:30 PURPOSE OF THE MEETING: Reports: community update and news; GBG follow up, Rotary, Media Campaign, Audit, Survey report. Facilitators for this meeting: Denise Banker In attendance: Mark Gudger, David Engle, Lindsay Scalf, Ciela Meyer, Chris Hoffman Hill, Heidi Eisenhour, Erica White, Joe Nole, Tanya Barnett, Margaret Garrett. 3:35 Denise Check in and Update: Introductions to Heidi. Erica bringing on new students and continuing contact with prior students; District opening schools: K-5 AM/PM cohort model; JSHS hybrid with struggling students
mandatory on campus; Sports practice to begin; School Board passed Naloxone Policy need advice on implementation. Denise will contact Community Health Director; Joe will contact Rotary re. Coalition
presentation.
4:00 Denise Report: ~Discussed ongoing Communications Plan / Media Plan development. Formed ad hoc committee to go forward. Denise will send Doodle Poll to
Chris, Greg, Lindsay, Erica. Discussed bring Food Service on board. ~Discussed Life Skills in school. Denise will reach out to Mark. ~Discussion Erica’s role in school, students have been overwhelmingly
positive and open to meetings re mental/emotional health. ~Tabled Interns in the school for now. Maybe planning meetings in future for next year’s Action Plan, 2021-2022. Will need mentor training.
~Our next meeting will be Wednesday, February 17th via Zoom.

The February 17th, 2021 meeting of the Empowered Teens Coalition will be held at the Via Zoom from 3:30-4:30, unless otherwise notified.
