The appellants estimate the value to be $1,000 ($500 for the land and $500 for the improvements). The Assessor's valuation of the property as of January 1, 2020 is $3,500. ($500 for the land and $3,000 for the improvements) Appellant's Argument and Evidence: The appellants presented a list of twenty-five comparable timeshares recently sold in the Kala Point Village condominium complex. The sales prices ranged from $1,000 to $6,000. Assessor's Argument and Evidence: The Assessor stated that "timeshares are extremely difficult to value effectively". At the hearing the Assessor presented the Board of Equalization with a revised recommended assessed value of $1,511. Decision: After consideration, the Board of Equalization overrules the Assessor's original determination of value and finds the value should be reduced to $1,511 ($511 for the land and $1,000 for the improvements) Jefferson County Board of Equalization Board Clerk's Record of Hearing Petition No: BOE 20-13-R Taxpayer's Name: Jerome & Margaret Mylet Mailing Address: 20247 NE Interlachen Lane City: Fairview State: OR Taxpayer's Parcel No: Hearing Was Held On: Board Members Present Decision of Board: 965 202 303 Wednesday, February 10, 2021 Daryl Gillette, Margaret Taylor & Pete Raab Value Sustained: Value Changed From: $3,500.00 Other: Zip Code: 97204 To: $1.511.00 Recorded on Tape No: BOE 021021 Hearing Began at (time): 11:15 a.m. Ended at (time): 11:50 a.m. jv CK LW Ch ' pe (r Authorized esi ee) DI I To ask about the availability of this publication in an alternate format for the visually impaired, please call (360) 705-6715.
