MEETING MINUTES

Chairman Daryl Gillette called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m. in the presence of Vice -Chairman Margaret
Taylor and Member Pete Raab.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Vice -Chairman Taylor moved to approve the meeting minutes of February 10, 2021. Member Raab seconded
the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.
DETERMINATIONS
Per WAC 458-14-095(4) post hearing deliberations of the Board of Equalization are not recorded. The
Board began post hearing deliberations at 10:07 a.m. At the conclusion of the deliberations the Board
resumed the regular meeting at 10:22 a.m. and the following actions were taken.

The Board of Equalization held a hearing on February 10, 2021.
After reviewing all the information submitted, the Board concurred that the appellant did not present clear,
cogent, and convincing evidence necessary to overcome the presumptive correctness of the Assessor.
Vice -Chairman Taylor moved to sustain the Assessor's valuation of $406,064 ($98,780 for the land and
$307,284 for the improvements). Member Raab seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.

The Board of Equalization held a hearing on February 10, 2021.
After reviewing all the information submitted, the Board concurred that the appellants did not present
clear, cogent, and convincing evidence necessary to overcome the presumptive correctness of the
Assessor.
Vice -Chairman Taylor moved to sustain the Assessor's valuation of $506,991 ($102,375 for the land and
$404,616 for the improvement). Member Raab seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote.

The Board of Equalization held a hearing on February 10, 2021.
After reviewing all the information submitted, the Board concurred that the appellants presented a list of
twenty-five comparable timeshares recently sold in the Kala Point Village condominium complex. The
sales prices ranged from $1,000 to $6,000. The Assessor stated that "timeshares are extremely difficult to
value effectively.
After consideration of all testimony, evidence and the Assessor's Representative's recommendation, Vice -
Chairman Taylor moved to overrule the Assessor's original determination of $3,500 ($500 for the land
and $3,000 for the improvements) and reduce the value to $1,511 ($511 for the land and $1,000 for the
improvements). Member Raab seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. (See also minutes

ADJOURNMENT
Vice -Chairman Taylor moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:35 a.m. Member Raab seconded the motion
which carried by a unanimous vote.
