Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's £t Con's: The current petty cash fund was last adjusted in 2011 to accommodate 79,778 transactions. Since the last fund adjustment, annual transactions have risen 27.25% to 101,519. The current fund balance of $2,700.00 does not provide a sufficient margin of cash for the number of transactions managed on a daily basis. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: A $400.00 transfer into the petty cash fund would provide the necessary margin of cash during peak customer demand at the Transfer Station. Recommendation: Increase the Jefferson County Solid Waste Petty Cash Fund from $2,700.00 to $3,100.00 by authorizing the County Treasurer to issue a Treasurer's check in the amount of $400.00, drawn from the Jefferson County Solid Waste Fund Balance and made payable to the Jefferson County Solid Waste Fund.
