Dear Planning Commission,Please allow me to add my voice to those urging you to adopt changes to the county code to prohibit marijuana grow and processing businesses from all rural/residential zoned
areas in the county.
Like many other citizens in Jefferson County, I have been active over several years to prevent the intrusion of such businesses into rural neighborhoods and sensitive environmental areas.That effort has given me
a close look atthe many problematic qualities of marijuana businesses when sited inappropriately.After several cycles of such activity, I am encouraged to understand that the Department of Community
Development has recognized the facts and are making a recommendation to change the code to eliminate such businesses from rural/residential areas.Ihope you will adopt the recommendation.
