The only exception is if one of the riders is experiencing covid-like symptoms. In that case, they should isolate until tested. A car is essentially an indoor space, albeit a moving one. If riding with non-vaccinated individuals I recommend masking, spacing, and open windows. Exercise caution when opening attachments or clicking links, especially from unknown senders. Hi! First, thank you so much for all your efforts to get Jefferson County vaccinated. My husband and I were immensely pleased to receive our vaccinations. You have done a heroic job! I do have a question that I have not been able to find an answer to anywhere. (I have read the CDC guidelines for vaccinated people, and we are following them strictly.) However the guidelines say nothing about vaccinated people sharing a car. We and our friends who are vaccinated want to go hiking together. Would we be relatively safe to share a car to go to a trailhead? If we did share a ride with them, should we wear masks in that enclosed space, given that no vaccine is 100 percent and the variants are widely circulating? The evidence seems to be building that vaccinated people are unlikely to harbor high amounts of the virus, but I realize the data is not yet complete. I would really appreciate your thoughts.
