HomeMy WebLinkAboutDRAFT M022621 g0'v 44 G .y` 1�, y9S�%I N•G�O MINUTES Lodging Tax Advisory Committee Special Meeting Minutes February 26,2021 — 1:00 p.m. Jefferson County Commissioners Chambers (Virtual Meeting) Members: Diana Smeland, Shelly Leavens, Larry McKeehan, Joe Alfano and Heidi Eisenhour Staff: County Administrator Philip Morley and Executive Assistant Adiel McKnight Chair Heidi Eisenhour called the meeting to order at the appointed time. Members Shelly Leavens, Diana Smeland and Larry McKeehan participated in the meeting remotely. Member Joe Alfano was absent. Also in attendance was Jefferson County Farmer's Market Manager Deirdre Morrison. Approval of Special Meeting Minutes: Member McKeehan moved to approve the Special Meeting Minutes of January 20, 2021 as presented. Member Leavens seconded the motion. The motion carried. Discussion re: 2021 Grant Funding Request Received After Deadline: The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) received a funding request after the deadline of 12-31-20 from the Jefferson County Farmer's Market. The Committee discussed whether to accept the grant proposal, or deny it. The LTAC Committee agreed to hear the proposal. Manager Morrison presented the Jefferson County Farmer's Market request. She reviewed the breakdown of their costs for proposed advertising campaign. After discussion, Chair Eisenhour moved to approve a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners to approve the Jefferson County Farmer's Market request of$10,200. Member Leavens seconded the motion. The motion carried. Discussion re: Next Meeting:The members discussed the LTAC timeline of application due dates and meeting schedule. The committee agreed to hold the next meeting in August, date to be determined.
