Amendment request to the 2021 Quilcene Fair and Parade
Linda Lindquist LTAC Grant
Secretary
Shonna Wilkerson Dear LTAC board,
Treasurer
On behalf of the Quilcene Fair and Parade Association (QFPA) I
Miranda Shriver would like to request the LTAC board to consider our following
Public Relations
request, based on section 1, paragraph 2 of the agreement
Bonnie McDaniel (included below.)
Kristin Deverin We'd first like to acknowledge that The QFPA has experienced
difficulties with obtaining our 2020 LTAC funds due to
misunderstandings and miscommunication between BOCC/LTAC
and QFPA. Due to these issues, the QFPA has not provided
BOCC/LTAC the correct paperwork to obtain these funds. Our
misunderstanding of the 2021 grant application led QFPA to have
not properly applied for and requested additional funds for the
upcoming 2021 Fair and Parade.
The QFPA is requesting 6,000 dollars. Due to the COVID-19
pandemic The QFPA has discussed at length the need to have a
robust online platform (website) so we may have a virtual presence.
Having a virtual option would allow us to easily pivot from an
intended in-person event to an online event if needed due to COVID
rate increases. The website would allow us to host a variety of live
P.O. Box 761 streaming events, take donations and payments, and update our
Quilcene, WA 98376 registration forms to be COVID safe. It would eliminate our need to
take paper registration and physical payments from our vendors,
raffle/sponsors and still offer our community a safe and fun way to
participate in the Quilcene Fair and Parade.
To this end, The QFPA has partnered with the Production Alliance, a
local organization, to provide us with a robust website, web hosting,
live streaming and advertisement support and outreach. They have
quoted QFPA a total of 5,000 dollars to complete this scope of work.
As well as the website, The QFPA has also wanted to increase our
durable goods in the form of Banners and pole hardware to add to
our 2020 purchases of these goods for an additional 1,000 dollars.
In the event that LTAC is unable to provide us these supplemental
funds, the QFPA asks the LTAC board to allow us to substitute
much of our Advertising budget laid out in our initial proposal to
complete the scope of work listed above with the Production
Alliance.
Thank you for considering our proposal.
Sincerely,
Sharon Redmon
QFPA President
