Jefferson County Board of Commissioners
Special Meeting — April 15, 2021, 5:00 p.m.
Jefferson County Courthouse—Commissioners' Chambers
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA
CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner Heidi Eisenhour and Commissioner Greg
Brotherton participated in the meeting remotely. Commissioner Eisenhour stated that she will be the
Acting Chair of the meeting as Chair Kate Dean may be unable to attend. She called the meeting to
order at the appointed time. Chair Dean was able to join the meeting around 6:30 p.m.
PRESENTATION - Project Update by Department of Community Development
(DCD) and Public Works Staff re: Port Hadlock Wastewater System: Public Works
Director/County Engineer Monte Reinders and Sewer Project Manager Bob Wheeler gave a presentation
regarding the Port Hadlock Wastewater System Project status update and answered questions posed by
the Board.
ADDRESSING WRITTEN QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS: Public Works staff
addressed written comments from the public in attendance via the virtual meeting platform. They were
unable to answer all of the comments and questions received during the meeting and stated all answers
will be answered and posted to their newsletter. The public was provided information on how to sign up
for the newsletter and where to address their questions regarding this project.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Members of the public in attendance provided
comments and questions via the virtual meeting platform regarding the Port Hadlock Wastewater
System Project.
CLOSING REMARKS AND NEXT STEPS: The Commissioners thanked staff and the
public for attending the meeting and provided closing remarks. Public Works Director/County Engineer
Monte Reinders stated they will continue to strive to keep the public informed during this process.
