Public Health Web & Digital Communication Specialist:
Jefferson County Public Health is seeking a Web & Digital Communication Specialist. This is a project
specific, two-year temporary position. This position develops, in consultation with other staff, regional,
and state partners on communication strategies for the department on COVID-19. Develops, designs and
delivers web site presence as it relates to COVID-19 services, projects, events, and content/resources.
Minimum qualifications:
Individual needs to be able to perform this job successfully in each essential duty satisfactorily. The
requirements are listed on the job description, please see attached, and are representative of the
knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) in a computer-related field, journalism, public relations,
communications, or related field; AND two (2) years of related experience in web production or
website management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
AND
Two (2) years of experience working with graphic design software and other tools used in the
maintenance and design of social media and other internet-based communications.
Hours & Compensation:
Project specific, two-year temporary position, full time, 40 hours per week with full benefits. UFCW
position, Grade 28, starting hourly typically $21.20. Full hourly range $21.20 to $27.14.
