The following information is needed to continue review of your project. Gravel is considered an impervious surface and must be accounted for with stormwater management. Gravel is not a pervious pavement as shown in the submitted stormwater worksheet A1 checklist 1. If proposing sheet flow, as shown on the site plan, you must designate a 2-foot wide pea gravel transition zone on the side of the driveway followed by a 10’ wide vegetative flow path, which needs to be shown on the site plan. See the below link to the minimum design standards in the link below. BMP 5.12. https://fortress.wa.gov/ecy/ezshare/wq/Permits/Flare/2019SWMMWW/Content/Resources/Images/Figures/Sheet FlowDispersionForDriveways.pdf . See Figure V-3.2 at the bottom of the page on the link for the driveway. You must show the distance from the home to the dispersion trench, which is required to be 5' or more. Indicate that you have a 25’ flow path distance to the property line. Silt fences are required, not "if req'd". Please modify on the plan. Medium Stormwater: The applicant is proposing to create or add 4542 square feet of impervious surface and 9249 square feet of land disturbing activities. JCC 18.30.060 and 18.30.070 require the project applicant submit a stormwater plan meeting Minimum Requirements #1 through #5 of the Department of Ecology Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington. Please submit the above information to the Department of Community Development within 90 days of the date of this letter which would be 5/20/2021. Please call 360-379-4450 to speak with the assigned planner if you have any questions. Sincerely, David D. Ullrich Department of Community Development Staff c: JULI SULLIVAN
