Dear BRUCE MUELLER:
The Department of Community Development is in the process of reviewing your application. The
following information is needed to continue review of your project.
The proposal requires an updated Geotechnical Report per Jefferson County Code (JCC) 18.22.905
(3). Special Reports are valid for five years. The current report on file was prepared on September
25, 2015. Please be sure that a report is completed by a Washington State Licensed Geotechnical
Engineer.
Additionally, the stormwater proposal is not clear. There are two different proposals submitted. On
one it is indicated that a raingarden and permeable pavement is required and on the other
downspout full infiltration and concentrated flow dispersion. According to the site plan, it appears
that a rain garden is the proposed method. If this is accurate, you must submit a detailed planting
plan that includes the different zones and types of plants, the square footage of the rain garden and
the ponding depth proposed. If you wish to move forward with permeable pavement, you must submit
the proposed design and materials. Please have your engineer revisit the stormwater proposal.
Please submit the above information to the Department of Community Development within 90 days
of the date of this letter which would be 7/1/2021. Please call 360-379-4450 to speak with the
assigned planner if you have any questions.
