Re: Notification of Determination Regarding Addressing Parcel # 702151001
Mr. & Mrs. Bierbaum:
This letter will explain what conditions will have to be met in order for you to not have to name the
unnamed roads leading to your parcels 702104003 & 702151001 off of Wildwood Road and will
describe the fees that will be invoiced to you for the signage required to meet those conditions.
We have reviewed your request to not name the unnamed road leading to your parcels 702104003 &
702151001 off of Wildwood Road. We have worked with Quilcene Fire Rescue and have determined
that you will not need to name your unnamed road provided that you meet the following conditions in
order to ensure access to the homesite on parcel 702104003 and proposed homesite on parcel
702151001:
Conditions:
1. Two fire numbers for the new address 783 Wildwood Road must be installed.
a. Install the first fire number on the wooden sign labeled “Bierbaum” as indicated on the
attached photo, “Bierbaum 1,” below, which is located at Lat/Long N47 50.435 by W122
54.104. Install the fire number 783 below the previously installed fire sign 787.
b. Install the second fire number at the location indicated by photo “Bierbaum 2,” below,
which is located at Lat/Long N47 50.341 by W122 54.523, at a sign that says “Job Site.”
Install the fire sign on the tree with the current “Job Site” sign on it. Aim the fire number
toward the downhill, or left, branch of the fork leading to the “Job Site.”
2. A second fire number for the residence at 787 Wildwood Road must be installed.
a. Install the second fire number at the location indicated by photo “Bierbaum 2,” below,
which is located at Lat/Long N47 50.341 by W122 54.523, at a sign that says “Job Site.”
Install the fire sign on the tree with the current “Job Site” sign on it. Aim the fire number
toward the uphill, or right, branch of the fork leading to 787 Wildwood Road.
3. Email pictures of the installed address plates to dcd@co.jefferson.wa.us with the subject

“ADR2020-00143 Images.”
4. Maintain all fire signs so that no brush or overhanging tree limbs obscures the view of the signs.
5. Continue to keep the roads leading to both parcels well-maintained so that fire apparatus may
easily be able to get to them in an emergency.
Fees:
The fee for each fire plate is $20. You will need three fire plates (2 for 783 and 1 for 787), but
one is already included in the cost of your addressing case (ADR2020-00143). The cost for the
additional 2 address plates is $40, but you already paid for the additional cost of $126 to name
your road. Since you are not naming your road, that additional cost is being refunded to your
credit card, less the $40 cost for the address plates. Your refund will be $86.

Please note that a Notice to Title is not being required, contrary to what was previously discussed.
Once the fees are paid, we will issue your address plates. This case will be closed as soon as the
emailed photos of the installed plates have been received.
