Letter agreement awarding 53.3 caseload points for JAC's representation in
State v. Beckmeyer,20-1-00153-16 (Murder 1°,Assault 1°(x2),Assault 4°-DVI
Pursuant to Section T of Exhibit A and Section B of Exhibit B of the Public Defense Agreement for 2016-
20!8,as amended by Amendment to Public Defense Agreement Between JAC and Jefferson County,dated
12/10/18, the county administrator and the director of Jefferson Associated Counsel agree that JAC be
awarded 53.3 caseload points in 2020 for representation of the defendant in State v. Beckmeyer, 20-1-
00153-16. In State v. Beckmeyer,the defendant is charged with First Degree Murder,and, if convicted, is
subject to life in prison. As such, JAC has staffed the case with two attorneys, and the lead attorney's
experience complies with the Standards for Indigent Defense, Std 14.2(B). Moreover, the case will take
significantly more attorney time to investigate and prepare for trial than most other felony cases.

Letter agreement awarding 4 caseload points for JAC's representation in
State v.Williams,21-1-00039-16 [Assault 2°; Fel.Harassment; Prot.Order Violation(xS)J
Pursuant to Section T of Exhibit A and Section B of Exhibit B of the Public Defense Agreement for 2016-
2018,as amended by Amendment to Public Defense Agreement Between JAC and Jefferson County,dated
12/10/18, the county administrator and the director of Jefferson Associated Counsel agree that JAC be
awarded 4 caseload points in 2021 for representation of the defendant in State v. Williams,21-1-000039-
16 for all work done to-date. In State v. Williams, the defendant is charged with a strike offense, and, if
convicted, is subject to life in prison. Should the case not be resolved by the next hearing,July 9,2021 (the
date currently set for pretrial),an additional two points shall be awarded for every twelve hours of attorney
time worked on the case.
