SUBJECT: Request for Board of County Commissioners approval to inactivate Fund
183— Facilities and activate Fund 507- Facilities
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Fund 183 was created to track revenue, expenses and budget approval for the Facilities
Department. The Office of the Washington State Auditor's BARS Manual requires this function
to be within the 500 Fund Series as an Internal Service Fund.
The MUNIS ERP Financial System conversion going live as of June 1, 2021 provides the place in
time to make this needed changeover.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve resolution to inactivate Fund 183— Facilities and activate Fund 507—Facilities.

ACTIVATING FUND 507 - FACILITIES } RESOLUTION NO. __________
WHEREAS, Jefferson County created Fund 183 to account for and track revenue, expenses and
budget approval for the Facilities Department; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Washington State Auditor’s BARS Manual requires this function to
be within the 500 Fund Series as an Internal Service Fund; and
WHEREAS, conversion to the new MUNIS ERP Financial System is live as of June 1, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the conversion provides a place in time to make this needed changeover; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners hereby directs the Jefferson County Auditor to inactivate Fund 183 – Facilities and
create/activate Fund 507 – Facilities; and
BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners directs the
Jefferson County Treasurer to transfer any residual funds in Fund 183 – Facilities to Fund 507 –
Facilities.
BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that this resolution rescinds and repeals any previous resolution
creating Fund 183.
