I cannot believes that the people chosen to representative us are making such a dangerous, stupid decision. Maybe the homeless have been apprised of this because we already have a group that hang out at Memorial Park within our community and are doing drugs - I have no idea whether the police have investigated. Also, if the council has a memory, we had a fire that almost reached Beckett Point houses a few years back and you cannot tell me that we aren’t going to have campfires and cigarette smoking going on - a fire hazard and reckless decision. could result in fires within Cape George houses. And, I understand this is supposed to be temporary - you bet it will. be. Sure. This council is not to be trusted and are playing with lives here to clear the fairgrounds. Horrible, dangerous, stupid decision. There aren’t facilities to provide these homeless people with what they need to live. The council has no way of protecting Cape George from what could happen with fires, theft, drugs and who knows what. Tell Greg Brotherton to go live in these facilities and see what goes on there - tell him to go live in the Fairgrounds before he creates a situation he will never be able to live down……..He is endangering no only the homeless but the residents that are already putting up with drug usage in one of our parks after hours and do not leave when they are requested to……. ANYWAY, this decision would be absolutely reckless, endangering everyone involved and totally stupid if he thinks these homeless an survive without facilities - where do you think they are going to find them without any transportation system that can bring them back to town. THANKS, BROTHERTON, you have made a lot of enemies with your reckless stupidity. Cheryl Hanan
