I have questions about the proposed homeless encampment on 172 Cape George
Road.
1. What criteria (features, size, amenities) is the county using to search for a suitable
location?
2. What zoning and permits are necessary for living structures?
3. Why has this site been proposed?
4. What building and public safety laws are being followed?
5. What public protection measures from diseases of rodents in the wilderness are in
place?
6. What fire safety plans are in place?
7. What state guidelines are you following to assist you in homeless encampment
decision making?
8. What other sites have been considered?
9. Doesn't this encampment need to abide by rules like homeowners do, for example
regular trash pickup, permits for building structures, running water and septic
systems?
Please help us understand how this proposed site has considered the legal
requirements for building living structures at this location.
Thank you
