620—Jeff Co Drainfield Trust} RESOLUTION NO. 28 21
WHEREAS,Jefferson County created Fund 606 as an Investment Trust Fund to account for and
track revenues and expenses; and
WHEREAS,the Office of the Washington State Auditor's BARS Manual requires this type of
fund to be a Private-Purpose Trust Fund; and
WHEREAS, conversion to the new MUNIS ERP Financial System is live as of June 1, 2021; and
WHEREAS,the conversion provides a place in time to make this needed changeover;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners hereby directs the Jefferson County Auditor to inactivate Fund 606—Jeff Co Drainfield
Trust and create/activate Fund 620—Jeff Co Drainfield Trust; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners directs the
Jefferson County Treasurer to transfer any residual funds in Fund 606—Jeff Co Drainfield Trust to Fund
620—Jeff Co Drainfield Trust.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution rescinds and repeals any previous resolution
creating Fund 606.

SUBJECT: Request for Board of County Commissioners approval to inactivate Fund
606—Jeff Co Drainfield Trust and activate Fund 620—Jeff Co Drainfield
Trust
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Fund 606 was created as an Investment Fund to track revenue and expenses for the Jeff Co
Drainfield Trust. The Office of the Washington State Auditor's BARS Manual requires this
function to be a Private-Purpose Trust Fund.
The MUNIS ERP Financial System conversion going live as of June 1, 2021 provides the place in
time to make this needed changeover.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve resolution to inactivate Fund 606—Facilities and activate Fund 620—Facilities.
